I don't MIND Real immigrants who come here, work hard, and become
testimonies to the American Dream of lore and proverb. When they get here,
the playing field is stacked in favor of the locals, but yet they STILL seem
to thrive. I LOVE immigrants. My gripe is with the H1-B, L-1, and
'virtual' border crossers that work for MUCH less than they are worth in the
American market. If there is ANY saving grace for the H1-B's and L-1's it
is that they MUST pay rent and buy food while they stay here to work (I'm
not sure about taxes for guest workers). (So far, no one's figured out how
to modem a plate of curried veggies and rice from Bangalore. Gee, that
makes me hungry.) But the VIRTUAL employees in India, China, and other
countries give NOTHING back to the American economy. They spend no money
here, they pay no taxes, they buy no souvenirs nor T-P at the local
Wal-mart. ZIP, NADA, NOTHING!. Capital flows ONLY ONE DIRECTION.
<<<-----OUT------>>>! And it DOESN'T COME BACK.

That's the beauty of Capitalism. All that matters is that the rich get
richer.

James,

and the reason is so "unique"
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Worried about possible government reaction to the
movement of U.S. technology jobs overseas, leading American computer
companies are defending recent shifts in employment to Asia and elsewhere as
necessary for future profits and warning policy makers against restrictions.

future profits. What its all about.
When I have to sell my shares of these companies to have some money, then
they know where to stick the "future profits". And as I said, cut the future
profits of the CxO's and they have lots of future profits.

Won't solve that problem but seems like this problem might be solved. SAN
FRANCISCO, California (AP) -- A publicity-shy Russian researcher who labors
in near-seclusion may have solved one of mathematics' oldest and most
abstruse problems, the Poincare Conjecture.
