My question is is what the Colonel or whatever said true?  I have not
seen anything about this in the news.  So why has it not been reported?

If it is NOT true, then Wirt is correct when he suggests this officer is
just kissing up.  If it IS true, then this is just another case of the
press ignoring good news.
