Friends,

I have given notice here that I will be retiring at the end of the year. So, I want to say farewell
to all of the wonderful people in the HP3000 community via this list. Although I have managed to
meet several of you at a conference or have had telephone contact, for the most part this is a
community of virtual friends. I have been a subscriber since 1995, I believe. I have nothing but
gratitude for the numerous people out there who have given of their time and energy to respond to my
questions. I have nothing but admiration and amazement for the wealth of knowledge into which I can
tap for help and support. And believe me that I have taken much, much more than I have given.

I wish you all the best and hope that you land on your feet on or before December 31, 2006.
