That's about the half of it...I got a phone call this morning at 6:00 AM
PST from an HP person(must have been on the right coast) with about the same
attitude. They volunteered to call back at a more reasonable time, but I
don't think I have the patience.

I got the call an hour ago. Had to explain to the guy what 'homesteading'
means.
My read on it is that senior management is puzzled by the non-flood of unix
conversions and thinks we either don't know they are dropping us or need
help deciding what to do. They have no concept that we might have made an
informed decision not to go where they expected.
