I think what Tracy is trying to say is that many parts of the Bible put
women in a position of servitude to men.  I remember one part that says
something like a husband is head of the household, as Christ is head of the
Church, and another part that a woman's job is to take care of the
husband's physical needs (his "burning", IIRC).

Portions like this are what brought me to dismiss this book as mostly
mythology mixed with chauvinistic crud.  But, hey, if anyone else wants to
believe in it, go for it.
