Thanks for your note, Molly. I hope you don't mind my sharing it with
everyone, for 1/3 of our athletes on the deans' lists is outstanding! Wish
I had been there when I was an athlete in college.

Yes, folks, they do go to classes, and you do make a difference! Did you
read that we have the SOCON student athlete of the week? And it isn't Mr.
Champion.

Hey, Dean Hicks, who keeps stats on other student groups? Somebody please
post the overall grade point for the semester. How about a challenge? Let's
raise the whole undergrad percentage on the Dean's list to 1/2 by 2005. Of
course, some legislator would prompt an internal investigation to prove
that UTC is too easy, not that our students are achieving at a higher level.

Student athletes succeed. Jocks sit at home, nurse their beer bellies and
complain that Casey Clausen threw an interception!!

Speaking of sports, let's go see some football and dream about two years
from now playing for that trophy in Daytona or New Orleans, or wherever it
seems it is going. You know, in Green Bay they laugh at us. Of course, I
did not enjoy frostbite. I understand they have hot coffee, and maybe there
is cocoa (aka hot chocolate)

Congratulations, ladies and gents. Go Mocs!! Hey, who wants the shoe back?
If Native Americans want to be called American Indians, how is an American
Indian representing us not politically correct? I am personally very
impressed by the Cherokee nation in this area, and I think we abandoned a
very strong symbol of our commitment to diversity.

(Please press "Reply" or call me after the 28th to respond to me about
that, as I do not wish to involve everyone in a Raven discussion about such
an old issue. I will, however, discuss this with anyone privately after 5
pm ).

If you consider your future now, today becomes much clearer.
