you could make a call to HPCIGETVAR on variable "HPSESCOUNT" for the
current number of sessions.

I was going to suggest looking at another AIF call, AIFSCGET.
But for me, the 2 tables decribing the items do not appear.

   Select Architected Interface Descriptions,
   then select AIFSCGET/PUT Items.

So someone will have to review the hardbound manual (I dont have one at
home).


You might also do a SHOWJOB to a file, and parse it.
