The bad, sad news is if you want your program to process a file as a TEMP
file you must ensure that filename is unique and does not exist in the perm
directory.

The PERM file must be purged before running the program and at the end the
TEMP file can be closed in the PERM directory if you have a file equation
something like:

file tempfile;temp;save
