my understanding is that 2.0 devices will work with your 1.1 port, just not
at 2.0 speeds.
likewise, your 1.1 device will work on a 2.0 port, but again at 1.1 speeds.
yes, it's doublespeak - "compatible with USB 2.0 specs" means "it will work
with your 2.0 port", not "it's a 2.0 device".
sounds to me they're trying to get you to hear 2.0 but they're really saying
1.1.
