I'm not sure what you mean when you say "HP 3000s do not support
libraries". Do you mean that nobody has ever written software to drive a
tape library on M.P.E?
If you were to say HP doesn't support this, I'd say that's not a
problem.
Or if you were to say M.P.E has no way to address this type of device,
then I'd say okay, that could be a problem.
I could be wrong, but I don't think I'd have a support problem, only
because I don't use HP for hardware or software support.
As far as the 3000 not supporting it, I think it a question of what are
the requirements to connect it to the 3000, and be able to use it, and
will the end results be worth the effort?
Just my opnion.
