This happens without rebooting your machine ..

We seem to have a program that is locking a dataset and never unlocks it.
Other programs start to hang when they go to use that dataset until every

My own act of defiance was to stuff 4 new HP3000 orders down HP's throat
just today, 8 in all for the full week.

Let me set the record straight : these are firm orders, not subject to
cancellation.
