Ah, but thank Fred, and you, and Eugene, and so many other gifted minds (as
well as founts of knowledge and good humor) for giving us the tools to do
more in this environment, with fewer resources and frequently less support,
than in any other environment in which I've worked lo these nearly 40 years.

Who'd have thought, wiring boards back in the mid 60s, that there would
ever be so sustaining a community as that of the 3k...

So come next Friday, I'll be doffing my imaginary cap not only to the 3000,
but to all of you who have made this 25 years with MPE so memorable.

yeah, yeah.. and doubtless bending the old elbow a bit...
