OK...I get 5,196:

6 kittens/cat
6 cats/bag
6 bags/man

This is a total of 216 cats/kittens per man

for the 6 men, the total is 1,296 cats.

Each cat w/4 paws is 5,184 'paws/feet'

and then each of the 6 men has 2 feet for another 12 feet

or a total of 5,196.
