On the subject of adaptive infrastructures, this will make you smile.

We were booked to do some live demonstrations at an HP site two weeks
ago. The opening presentations of the day was by HP on the adaptive
enterprise. For the live demonstrations we needed Internet access to an

i'll bet there's absolutely no os dependencies (or maybe 5.5 or better)
in upsutil. that is, *if* hp were to make the current version
available (say thru jazz) then folks could download the latest version
and begin using their ups's more intelligently.

this seems like something homesteaders would really really want! with
older discs, getting some advance notice that the system is running off
of battery would be helpful.

so what about it, hp? - d
