and now you know where the proliferation of private schools come from. What
the public schools are teaching our children....

an IPS (indianapolis public school) spokesperson said on TV that their 'new'
goal is to have all students learn to write in cursive by 3rd grade. I
chuckled because my kindergardener was currently being taught that very same
thing.....

The problem here isn't stupid laws, in my opinion, it's stupid school
administrators. It makes sense to have a law against sharing prescription
drugs, but any police force would ignore an incident like this one. School
administrators, on the other hand, seem to believe that the existence of
rules means you must leave your brain at home when you go to work, and may
not exercise any judgment. That's especially disturbing when we consider
that these are the same institutions that are supposed to be teaching our
children critical thinking skills!

the story Brice mentions below is another in a long list of stupid
judgments handed down by school districts

-----------------

This is a drug case. The school policy was part of the federal
zero tolerance concept.
