If the great flood occurred and Noah gathered 1 male and 1 female of each
species aboard an arc then why do we have so many different varieties of
dogs, cats, goats, cows, elephants, etc. etc. etc. today? Evolution within
the species.

---------------------

My question is, if 1 male and 1 female of each species were called aboard
the arc, and these were subsequently used to repopulate the earth, then
there was not a sufficient gene pool to successfully do so, due to the
consequences of inbreeding. So God's hand must have been in that?

If God's hand was in that, then why could not his hand have been in
establishing the different varieties of each species.

If God did that, then what was the purpose in having the males and females
of each species on the arc anyway?
