Dr. Karen Adsit, Professor and Director of the Walker Teaching Resource Center, recently received $3,000 from the Educational Technology Collaborative’s (ETC) Project SET (Sharing Educational Technology) initiative. The ETC grant will enable Dr. Adsit to develop her project entitled “What’s Legal in Copyright and Fair Use for Faculty?”

ETC is a UT-wide faculty development initiative to advance the quality and use of educational technology at the UT campuses. Project SET encourages faculty, staff, resource professionals and graduate students to create web-based modules on topics related to instructional technology.

Dr. Adsit’s program will provide UT faculty with information about how copyright and fair use law can affect their teaching practices. Dr. Adsit’s educational resource will affect the way UT faculty teach courses, conduct research, and provide information to students via the internet, Blackboard, and other information technology resources.

Congratulations to Dr. Adsit!
