Dr. Tatiana Allen, UC Foundation Associate Professor in UTC's Department of Physics, Geology, and Astronomy, was chosen recently by the Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) to serve as a proposal reviewer. The CRDF in the United States is a nonprofit charitable organization that promotes scientific and technical collaboration between the U.S. and the countries of the Former Soviet Union.

The project Dr. Allen reviewed was entitled “Alloyed Diamond-Like Carbon Films – New Materials for Optics and Electronics.” Dr. Allen reviewed the new methods for making diamond-like materials discussed in the proposal. She then provided the applicants with constructive suggestions for refining their proposal in the hope that the project would be financially supported.

Congratulations to Dr. Allen! By assisting other researchers in your field, you bring recognition to UTC’s community of scholars and collaborative spirit.
