There's always the option of not focussing on any ethnic traits at all. If
it is irrelevant in the context of the discussion. Which was clearly the
case when Bjoern asked about the price of tuna in the US. The anwer
containing the 'oriental' implied that it is 'them' that are responsible
for destructive fishing practices. Using the word Asian instead, would not
have changed the slant at all.
