Hi HP3000-L,

Perl 5.8.1 was released yesterday and is fully MPE-ready.

But since my having the free time to put together an MPE binary distribution is
an unimaginable luxury right now, you will need to compile Perl 5.8.1 yourself
from the source code available at www.perl.com.

Of course all of you homesteaders are already compiling Perl, Apache, Samba,
Sendmail, etc, from source code, right?  ;-)
