Ah, there's your problem.  We tried this once too.  Received banged up used
drives with broken interface connectors.  I believe we had to harass them
for about two months to get our money back too.  Never again.

I notice that you can now get new Seagate Cheetah 15K RPM 18GB drives for
$250 from PC Connection.
