You posted a long and very reasoned discussion on taxes etc in the US.
This is all very well but when your Government decides to engage in a
war, all bets are off. They will pull in any and all money that they
need by any means. I understand that the Budget deficit in the US is
about $480 billion at the moment and the cost of keeping troops in
Iraq is about $1 billion a week! Forecasts put the deficit at $1.4
trillion in 10 years. Who is going to pay?
