Colleagues:
You may recall that two weeks ago I invited to faculty members to apply for
University Honors Program student assistants to aid them in research and
professional projects - the deadline was today.
Because we have received fewer applications than in years past, I'd like to
extend the deadline until noon on Friday, September 5, and extend
eligibility to those faculty members who received such assistance last year.
We will make every effort to give priority to faculty not previously matched
with assistants.
Once again, my original invitation:
Over the past two years, the University Honors (UHON) Program has sponsored
an effort to provide UTC faculty members with an additional means of finding
competent student assistants. Thanks to a grant from the UC Foundation, we
are able to renew our student assistantship program for 2003-2004. So, if
you are a faculty member in need of an honors student to help with your
research or to perform any academic-clerical work, I invite you to complete
a simple, one-page interactive application available at:
http://cecasun.utc.edu/univhon/studentassistant.pdf.
(You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to complete this document.)
Please print and return your completed application to The University Honors
Program, 202 Guerry Center.
Again, the extended deadline is noon, Friday, September 5. We hope to
finalize selections by the middle of next week.
Thanks,
Greg O'Dea
