If you are like me whenever I use the MPEX Listf command with the 'DB'
expression you get information that is skewed, not in nice neat columns.
Well I have modified the DB expression file, to be more meaningful for my
needs. I have created to versions, DB3 and DB4. (yes I have a db1 but
that's another story)

DB3 is similar to the original expect it only shows the following dataset
information:
FILENAME SET NAME TYPE ENTRIES CAPACITY %FULL SECTORS

The original shows:
FILENAME SET NAME TYPE LDEV ENTRY CAPA- %FULL BLK SECTORS %BLOCK
SECTRS
                                    COUNT CITY FCT WASTED
WASTED

By eliminating some of the original columns I was able to spread the other
columns out. If you have rather large data sets the numbers in the columns
would run together creating a headache; at least for me.
DB3 also lists the sector size for each chunk in a Jumbo detail set. I
found this useful.

In DB4 it only looks at detail sets and compares the Highwatermark with the
actual number of entries. If these numbers are different then the data set
name is displayed along with the type, number of entries, highwatermark,
the difference between the two, and the capacity size. Here's what the
column header looks like:

FILENAME SET NAME TYPE ENTRIES HI-WATER Difference
Capacity
   -------- --------------- ---- ---------- --------- ----------
----------

If anyone would like to view the files send me an email and I will forward a
copy to you. I place the files in the Listf.Vesoft group; you may want to
make a backup copy for the times when you do an upgrade to the Vesoft
account.
