Maestro thinks a job has abended if the job logs off without running
"SIGNALER" to inform Batchman that it completed successfully.

When Maestro streams a job, it inserts a run of SIGNALER as the last step
before EOJ, *UNLESS* a run of SIGNALER already exists in the job script. If
you want the job to be considered successful even if the last three steps
don't finish, you can insert a run of SIGNALER manually when you write the
job.

Unfortunately, if conditional logic (IF_THEN) keeps that program from
running, and since Maestro didn't insert an unconditional run at the end of
the job, Conman will think that the job is abended even if technically it
completed successfully.

Clear as mud?
