How timely a topic... The conference team worked with our sponsors to
setup wireless network with Internet access at the convention facility for
HPWorld attendees. I recently received this info on accessing the network:

However, a bit of warning.... we've received word that there have been some
incidents of theft at the conference facility. To help ensure our attendees
don't have these problems, you are strongly encouraged to not leave any
items unattended for even a few seconds. In one reported case someone left
their laptop for just a few minutes when they went to the front of a room
and it
seems someone came in the door, grabbed it and was out the door and gone
in 10 seconds. To help ensure our attendees don't experience these
difficulties
there will be additional security to verify that only attendees are in the
conference areas. So you'll definitely need to be wearing your badge, as a
grin
and a wink simply won't get you far... ;-)
