Dear Esteemed Members of UTC Faculty & Staff,
This is in response to the religious debate currently taking place on the UTC list-serve, in particular the message recently posted by Dr. Geevargheese.
I find the tone of this e-mail to be in very poor taste. To tell anyone, especially your colleagues, to 'go back to the slum where you came from' is juvenile and boorish. To express yourself with this level of hostility in an informal debate on the religious foundations of our country (or lack thereof) is completely out of line.
I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you Dr. Geevarghese, but if you are willing to communicate with you colleagues in this fashion I would hate to see the way you communicate with your students. If you must resort to these tactics to defend you point of view perhaps it is you who has missed the spirit of objectivity.
Regards,
Joshua Daniels
