Well, considering that I've seen "requirements" for "5 years" of experience for things like java -- one year after java was introduced -- I would go ahead and list your "mpe/--IX--" experience as the same number you now have for "just mpe" experience, and nevermind the fact that it actually exceeds the number of years mpe/ix has been available. If someone calls you on it, you at least know THEY know that there is a difference and you can explain that you list it this way for brain-dead headhunters like the one above... :)
