See http://www.cityofboston.gov/jobs/download.asp?ID=1989 for all the
details, some of which are:
a.. Job applicant must be a self-motivated individual familiar with Hewlett
Packard Systems 3000/918 machines operating under MPE/iX 6.0 and possess
previous experience as a systems/programmer analyst.
a.. Programming and analysis experience with COBOL II, OMNIDEX, Query,
Turbo-Image, View, SQL and Job Control/OS command is required.
a.. Working knowledge of DBGENERAL or ADAGER, and SUPRTOOL highly desired.
a.. Familiarity with LUND Suites and VESOFT considered a plus.
All pretty standard and straight-forward stuff. So far, so good. But at the
very bottom of this list of "Minimum Entrance Qualifications", it reads
BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED. * sigh * If someone is looking to relocate,
that's not such a bad thing.
