Dr. Andy Novobilski, Associate Professor of Computer Science, has received
$2,000 from BreathQuant Medical Systems, Inc. for his Application of
Bayesian Networks to Pulmonary Embolism Data.
Dr. Novobilski will use the funds to incorporate pulmonary medical data
supplied by BreathQuant Medical Systems, Inc. into a computer analysis
system that he has developed. This computer analysis mechanism is Dr.
Novobilski’s Genetic Algorithm Based Bayesian Network Data Mining tool. He
will utilize this tool to produce one or more Bayesian Networks for use by
BreathQuant in evaluating these networks as viable predictive technology for
medical diagnoses of pulmonary embolisms.
Congratulations to Dr. Novobilski! Your collaboration with BreathQuant
Medical Systems, Inc. has the opportunity to foster meaningful advances in
the prediction and diagnosis of this serious medical condition.
