Three places to look, the communicators have a 'Product Changes by Releases' section, that gives a good general starting point. Although,
in many cases, a patch may provide device support for prior versions than the communicator documents. The file iodfault.pub.sys is very specific about devices that can be entered into SYSGEN, if you have a live system with associated patches installed. And, even more specifically, patch detail descriptions that show a replacement to iodfault.pub.sys are also a good place to look.
