As you are well aware, more and more spam is getting through to your
mailboxes.  But for the sake of example, here are some quick statistics
from the filter that is in place.  The time covered is approximately 5
days.  The "Bounces" figure includes retries by the sender, which may
be zero to many depending on the mailer in use.  Likewise, "valid
e-mail" includes spam that slipped through, as well as legitimate mail.

 From Qwest:

> Total bounces:   646573
>  Valid e-mail:    37115
>  Bounce ratio:   94.571%

 From Metronet:

> Total bounces:  1117121
>  Valid e-mail:    79241
>  Bounce ratio:   93.376%

To date, since October 2002:

> Total bounces: 124119221
