You know you're in New Mexico when:

The local university's Engineering Psychology/Cognitive Science lab is named
: "Computer Human Information Processing Systems and Studies Assessing Latent
Semantic Analysis" -- which, of course, abbreviates out to "CHIPS & SALSA."

Or when the SIGIMAGE executive committee met in New Mexico to plan for
further improvements in TurboIMAGE -- and comes up with the acronym "ENhancement for
caCHIng Limited Authorized DAta" for its mechanism to embed a simple data
dictionary in IMAGE, which of course is then called the ENCHILADA proposal.

So, now we know what goes on in the SIGIMAGE committee meetings ;)
