There's always someone who wants to spoil the party.

In my view, the proliferation of Linux was one of the best things to
happen to the Computer Industry. By offering a FREE operating system
that could be used on scalable systems in a commercial environment, it
broke companies out of the increasing stranglehold held by
corporations such as IBM, HP and Microsoft. It seemed to generate an
excitement and energy which opened the doors to further creativity.
Other free software that is encouraging this energy is Apache, PHP,
Samba etc. It is a shame that SCO feels that it can gain sufficient
financial recompense to justify ruining this creative environment.

Just my .02 Euros.

Cheers,

John Dunlop
