I believe a buffalo jump was used by the Native Americans. The would get a herd of buffalo stampeding towards a cliff and after a certain number went over the edge they would go down to the bottom and collect the dead buffalo for food and clothing. Nothing was wasted by them.

Not one person mentioned the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum!
We went there in the end of January, had a great time. Expect to spend the whole day there. You may even learn what a Buffalo jump was used for.
