Craig,
While FSCHECK does detect and fix many possible file system anomolies,
it does not detect and fix all possible problems that can occur in the file
system.
The error being displayed looks to be related to the extent block
descriptors for
the associated file. It is possible for extent related problems to lead to
system aborts
when encountered by OS code, so caution should be exercised.
FSCHECK command DISPLAYEXTENTS will read the extent block descriptors for
the specified file and display them on the screen. This action may lead to
an abort. Also,
attempting to PURGE the file may lead to an abort as well. Doing these
actions on a quiet
system is recommended.
SR5 (Space Register 5) space is a 1gb virtual space set aside for the
programs stacks,
heaps, and data structures. Some files do get mapped into this space when
being mapped into
short pointer space.
I would recommend you have an internals trained engineer examine the file
label and determine
the best way to proceed.
