 Sir,
I bow to your knowledge on MPE and I agree I am totally ignorant on this
topic, but I guess we all have to start somewhere to learn something.
I am a Software Consultant working for a Security company and we deal in
password resets via different means.
I write adapters so that using a general GUI a person can reset his/her
password on different systems like Windows NT, Active Directory/Win 2k,
RACF, and also create a wrapper over other security systems like Control SA,
Courion, Netegrity etc....

The need has arisen to do the same for HP3000 and hence the question .....

Here are Rules of Thumb I follow
1. If you don't know anything, ASK
2 Not knowing something does not mean you are dumb, it means you never got a
chance to work on something and now that you have got a break, you learn as
much as you can
3 Does the assignment sound plausible?? Ask me in a month and maybe use my
product in the next few months.

I never know what Control SA was or how RACF worked a few months ago. Today
I have working adapters for the same.

Does this data help you Mr Rosenblatt???? And Sir, A few questions to you..
1 Did you know all about HP 3000 since beginning or did you start learning
as and when you got a chance to?
2. If you need help in some topic you know not of, will your first question
be a detailed, in-depth question of the internals or would be a simple
starting question?
3 Is it too hard for you to help some new guy or is it that you are too busy
to help but too free to write a character analysis of a person asking a
question?

No hard feelings, I am not here to fight but am here to seek help and I hope
you will help me.

Thanks and Regards,
Anurag
P.S. Nothing in that mail is sarcastic. This is how I felt when I read this
mail. I sincerely need the help of you all.
