[log in to unmask][log in to unmask], 24 Apr 2003 15:16:45 -0500442_- Overload protection is provided by circuit breakers and
fuses. Utilities do not provide nor rent this protection.
Surge / spike / transient protection is different. Some
electric utilities rent a 'whole house' surge protector for
maybe $5 per month. It shunts or earths transients that
exceed 300 volts on the 120 VAC line. 300 volt transients are
below what any 120 VAC appliance should withstand without
damage. [...]40_24Apr200315:16:[log in to unmask]

I have a small guide - HP document titled "PCL Printer Language
Technical Quick Reference Guide", published 8/1990, but it has no HP
Part Number printed on it.

I also have a larger document with an HP Part Number 33481-90968 "PCL 5
Comparison Guide". Appendix A has a complete listing of the commands.

I found some references to PCL-II Line Printer codes at
http://docs.hp.com/mpeix/pdf/171249-001PX.pdf . Search docs.hp.com for
PCL to find more.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Hex codes for dpc lm600 lineprinter???

I've been looking at some of the files we print on our old greenbar
printer. It's a dpc lm600 line printer... I notice there is hex chars
which pass information to the
printer: ie. line feed, form feed, font changes, prompt for recall,
ect...

I was wondering where I could go about finding a key to which codes do
what? For example I have found the large and regular font tags.

 &k8S
Large font
 &k0S
Small font

Where can I find the list of all the codes??

Any info would be much appriciated,
Gehan Gehale
