ADD TO THAT ... With the docusource being in the library.. when you
walk up to the window and need to actually TALK to Christina about your
copy order, you feel like you're disrupting everything and everyone is
staring at you because it's so quiet in there and "supposed to BE that
way". You don't feel like you should be talking to her about anything.
The heat situation is a very valid point too, as Christina has said many
times that the heat in there was not good for those machines. Just my
"thoughts".

Subject: [UTCSTAFF] Future docusource location
Good morning,
Maybe some of you or most of you already know this, but it came as a
surprise to me. When the UC re-opens, the docusource copy center will
NOT be there. It will remain in the library. That is odd to me as the
UC is the student center, thus the center of student activity. It makes
logical sense to put the copy center back in there and next to a
computer lab, making it accessible to students and faculty. In my
opinion, the library has been a good INTERIM location (as I thought
that's what it was to be). It doesn't make for a good permanent
location. Besides the previously given reason, other reasons that I see
are: the space and setup doesn't seem optima and the heating situation
isn't ideal for the machines (as there is no air conditioning in that
room).
If you already knew this, what are your thoughts? If you're just
finding this out today like me, what are your thoughts? If someone with
any power reads this, I'd like to know why it isn't going to be in the
new UC.
Thank you,
Debra Phillips
