The bad news is that you may not be able to do it. MPE doesn't seem to honor
the quotes, unless it's a very recent fix. The problem is that the HP3000 is
not accepting the spaces and is transmitting a truncated command. When I type
in:

     cd "c:\america online 5.0"

which is perfectly legitimate, MPE instead only transmits:

     cd "c:\america

...which obviously fails. Indeed, the quote character should even be there.
My 7.0 machine is out of the office at the moment, but this is the behavior I
get on our 5.5 thru 6.5 machines. You may have to just bite the bullet and
change the name of your directory on the NT box, eliminating the spaces. It's
easy to do in Windows, of course, minus all of the repercussions of the
change itself.

Not necessarily a Smooth Solution.
