Not being on 7.5, I cannot address that, however, having multiple
volumesets with user data
is a GREAT idea.  Think of it this way,  if you lose a disc everythings
gone on a single
volume set.  If you have say 5 volumes sets, you lose only the volume set
where that disc
was, recovery time is enhanced dramatically.  You can also spread the
volume sets over
multiple I/O paths.

We have 4 volume sets plus the system volume set on our 989/650.
