LOL.....I've already had one reply from the site suggesting they may
just use a hammer, and that a list of participants is being put together

One of the solutions I mentioned to the honorable Dr. Ferenc Nagy last
year when he was trying to donate his old machine was to get a razor
blade and scrape the surface of the disc clean.

Or you could try Steel Wool or a Milling Machine.
