Subject: HP Recycling
Well, I have had another reminder that the times have changed. We are going
to recycle at the minimum the 2566A printer and 7978 tape drive.
I called the person in charge of recycling at Roseville and was directed to
the HP site - www.hp.com/recycling
There - they tell you to pack everything into a box. A 2566A? ;-)
Anyway I mentioned to the person at Roseville that at one time they'd send a
moving van out to pick up the stuff - she had no knowledge of this. I
remember they used to do this - about 10 years ago.
Ultimately I realize that the program has to at least break even for HP -
but it looks like I may haul the stuff to a metal recycling facility. I have
sent a query to them -
Has anyone recently recycled something big under this program?
Bill
