 Hi,

I hope someone can help with a problem I have at work. We have a very small
LAN with a HP/3000 918 (MPE/iX 6) and various Windows PCs connected to a
hub which is in turn connected to a BT 5861 Router. One of our jobs which
e-mails statements to our suppliers using the MailNM program has started to
fail with the error: UNKNOWN NODE. (SOCKERR 40). Everything worked fine
until we got a replacement BT 5861 Router so I'm assuming this is the cause
of the problem? Below is an example typed from the command prompt that
gives
the same error.

:xeq mailnm.net.sys -t [log in to unmask] -f [log in to unmask] -h
mailsrvr.company.co.uk -s 'test'
Mar 4 16:35:29 mailnm[98] OpenSocket: IPCDEST: UNKNOWN NODE. (SOCKERR 40)
Program terminated in an error state. (CIERR 976)

Unfortunately I know very little about MPE & the HP3000 but I'm the one
who's inherited the job of sorting it out. If anyone can help or even point
me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Thanks, Jason.
