Was China tired of being bullied by Tibet?

I am not sure how to respond here.

Mr. Avenell made a good case for supporting my argument.
Tibet was a pacifist culture and now has been taken over.

Maybe I did not state my case clearly enough?  My position
was that pacifist cultures never keep anything which can be
taken away by someone else who wants it and can take it.
