If you have any students looking for an interesting elective next fall, you
might consider BACC 200 - The Accounting Cycle. Designed for anyone
seeking an understanding of basic financial accounting and financial
statements. In other words if you think you might ever own a business, own
shares of stock in a business or just read a company's annual report. this
course will provide you with financial literacy to know where to go for
information (which financial statement) and the right questions to ask
(what is the statement telling me). Not for business majors, but
definitely for those who wish to understand basic financial accounting.
