Donna's last sentence is the most important and has nothing to do with
homesteading, migrating, etc., but has everything to do with reasonable
business practices. Put another way, failure to plan is planning to fail.

Things break. Be prepared for it.

As for the original problem, Matthew, what do you mean by a "silent halt".
Do you mean the system hangs and will not allow any activity or do you mean
the system truly halts? The answer determines where to look for your
problem, though my guess would be either configuration issues with your
network configuration or network hardware mismatches in the new location.

Also, you do not say why support "expired". If it was a simple mistake, most
vendors will cover you if you agree to renew.
