*****REMINDER*****
Don't forget about violinist Janice Martin's masterclass, Wednesday (today)
at noon at the Fine Arts Center. Janice is one of the rising stars of her
field, a graduate of Indiana and Juilliard who has won a half-dozen major
competitions and has toured the world as a soloist. She is also a gracious
and articulate spokesperson for the musical arts, and we're privileged to
have her with us for the afternoon. She will play and discuss her 1708
Stradivarius instrument, will talk about the life of a touring artist, and
will conduct a session with recent UTC graduate, violinist Elizabeth
Faidley. To learn more about Janice Martin, check out her website at
http://www.janicemartin.com.
After the program, you may join Janice and her party for a chat and lunch at
1:00 at the Faculty Club in the Patten House.
The program is sponsored the SunTrust Chair of Excellence in Humanities, and
is free and open to the public.
