Ç You sit in a meeting where nothing gets accomplished
Ç You feel as if the group is in constant chaos and indecision
Ç Some people always dominate discussions, while others never say anything
Ç Everybody in the group has their own personal agendas and the group
loses its focus
Ç Most of the work is done behind the scenes or in the parking lot
after the meeting
Ç Several people enjoy a martyr role

If any of these traits ring true, you are not alone. Come and learn
how to contribute to a successful group! This program is designed to
help understand the four stages or steps that all groups must move
through to achieve consensus.

You will understand the group dynamics that contribute to a failed
effort and the necessary steps that must be taken to move an
ineffective effort to an effective operating level --- what some
might call a winning team, a profitable business, an effective board,
or a great family (the speakers utilize their program format to teach
families how to discover their strengths and minimize their
weaknesses).

Mary Jo Clark and Pat Heiny are considered the foremost experts on
the subject of 21st century leadership and are particularly sought
after by organizations and communities who need help defining and
achieving their goals.

Clients with whom they have worked are Quaker Oats, Kansas Health
Foundation, the Missouri state legislature, and community and
leadership programs from Osceola County, Florida to Lincoln,
Nebraska. Currently, Leadership Knoxville utilizes their expertise to
train facilitators to work with committees, boards, and community
organizations.
