Did you try it the other way around, a put from the 3000?
   Thats all I have been doing is using the 3000 ftp client to put the
file on the W2k box.

Does your file have just 1 record, or has it been converted to byte
stream?
   The file contains many records. I haven't converted the file to
bytestream I was told to try put ftp in bytestream mode with the ascii
file I am sending.

How are you checking the record length on the W2K box?
   I am opening the file with Robelle's qedit. There last byte of the file
occurs in the 151st position.
